Age 86, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Patricia O. Anderson. Loving father of Russ (Lynne) Anderson and Amy Anderson; proud grandfather of Jason and Jennifer Anderson, and Emily (Matthew) Williams, Sarah (Rutger) Metzler, and Thomas Melchiore; dear great-grandfather to Oliver T. Williams; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Jimmy) DeGore, and siblings, Robert Anderson and Mary Joan Blank. George was a member of the Pittsburgh Plumbers #27 for over 60 years. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Catholic Church - Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
