John Frank Chontos

John Frank Chontos, age 91 of Penn Hills died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023. John is survived by his nephews, Brian (Barbara) Chontos and Gary (Ann) Chontos, and his niece, Laurel (the late Jim) Roses. John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Chontos; his brother, Ernest Chontos; and his sisters, Helen McKee and Betty Chontos. John was a Teamster and worked for many years as a truck driver, delivering heavy construction equipment to various job sites. He was an avid collector who loved his cats and working on his car. Arrangements are private and under the direction of the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747).  John will be laid to rest privately in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio, at a later date.
